At Loanhead of Daviot is an impressive recumbant stone circle.

Other than the recumbant stone and its two flanking stones there are eight stones standing in a circle just under 21 metres in diameter. Inside the stones is the remains of a ring cairn some 16 metres in diameter.

The site was excavated in 1932, revealing pits by each of the circle stones containing sherds of pot and charcoal. In the center of the cairn, many fragments of infants skulls were found.
