This stone stands on the edge of a river, Allt Cinn-locha, half a mile before it enters the sea-loch Loch Caolisport at the north-west edge of the South Knapdale peninsula and half a mile from the village of Achahoish.

Near by is an old christian burial ground and the site of an ancient chapel.

The stone is somewhat hidden away amongst the trees, standing seven feet tall, three feet wide and one and a half feet thick.
