Orphir Round Church
Stromness, Orkney Islands
Church Canmore

Orphir, on Orkney's Mainland, is home to the remains of the only surviving circular mediaeval church in Scotland.

It was built in the first half of the 12th century and dedicated to St Nicholas. Although it's now quite ruinous, it stood mostly complete until the 18th century when the walls were torn down to use as building material for the new parish church.
