Scoonie Pictish Stone

Pictish Symbol Stone Class II Canmore

This Class II stone is now in the Museum of Scotland in Edinburgh.

The cross side of this stone is all but worn away.

The symbol side has a Pictish beast at the top, partly broken away. Below this is a hunting scene with at least three horsemen and two dogs chasing a deer.

Down the right-hand side of the symbol face is an Ogham inscription which reads:
