Machrie Moor 4
Blackwaterfoot, Isle of Arran
Stone Circle Canmore

Machrie Moor, on the west side of Arran, is soaked through with archaeology going back 5,500 years.

A very obvious feature of the moor is the group of six stone circles set very close together.

Circle 4 consists of four granite blocks each about 1 metre (3 feet) high. A cist containing a burial was found in the centre of the circle in the 1860s.
